LVT is highly resistant to wear, moisture, and staining, and cleans easily — ideal for entries, corridors, and retail. Carpet tile hides minor soiling well but requires periodic deep cleaning and can stain if spills sit.
Installation and Substrate
This is where preparation diverges sharply. LVT demands an extremely flat substrate; any imperfection telegraphs through the finish. Carpet tile is more forgiving of minor substrate variation. Both require proper moisture testing before installation.
